On 31 December 2009, MACS stretched its wing to the southern region of Peninsular Malaysia. The Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Fast Track Programme with Kolej Aman Batu Pahat, Johor (“KABP”). This Programme allows the students of KABP to complete the Professional Examination of MACS in the shortest time possible, with up to exemptions on ten (10) examination papers. The tuition of the subjects in the examination will be conducted by KABP and the first intake of students is expected in February or March 2010.

The students who have completed the Professional Examination of MACS could apply to become full Members of the Association once they have attained three (3) years relevant working experience. As MACS is a prescribed body under Section 139A(a) of the Companies Act 1965, members of the Association (Fellow and Member grades only) could practice as Certified Company Secretaries without the need of obtaining the license from Companies Commission of Malaysia.
